Rhododendron 'Yellow Hammer' features tubular-campanulate flowers, ½" wide, in a vibrant empire-yellow, unmarked. The blooms are held in clusters, with two flowers per bud. The leaves are narrowly elliptic, about 1" long, slightly glossy, and dark green. It has an upright growth habit but can become straggly over time, so pruning is recommended to maintain its shape.
