Rhododendron yakushimanum 'Anuschka'

Stunning funnel-shaped blooms open in vibrant purplish-red, gradually transitioning to purplish-pink with a soft pale pink centre and deep red markings. As the flowers mature, they fade to delicate pinkish-white. Each dome-shaped truss displays 11-14 flowers in perfect harmony. The plant features elliptic, pointed leaves with a graceful recurve, measuring 4" to 5" long. Dense hair covers the foliage, which remains a rich dark green and persists for three years. This cultivar grows wider than it is tall, reaching approximately 6 feet in height after 10 years. Exceptionally cold hardy down to -10°F (-23°C), making it ideal for challenging climates.
