Rhododendron 'Susan'

Rhododendron 'Susan' features openly funnel-shaped flowers measuring 3½ inches across, exhibiting a delicate light purple hue that fades toward the center, accented by darker dorsal lobes and maroon spotting. Each rounded cluster consists of 12 to 16 blooms. The elliptic leaves are approximately 5½ inches long, flat, dark green, and show slight indumentum when young, complemented by purple petioles. This variety grows with an upright, spreading habit and tolerates cold temperatures down to -5°F (-21°C).
