Rhododendron 'Sappho'

Rhododendron 'Sappho' features broadly funnel-shaped flowers with wavy edges, predominantly white accented by a striking purple-black blotch. These blossoms cluster in conical trusses containing roughly 15 flowers. The foliage consists of dull, mid-green leaves approximately 5 inches long. It exhibits an upright growth form, which may become open and leggy over time, with the potential to reach tree-like proportions.
