Passiflora edulis 'Bounty' (Passionflower Vine)

Passiflora edulis 'Bounty' is a prolific passionflower vine prized for abundant harvests of sweet and tangy passion fruit. While individual fruits are modest in size, the exceptional yield more than compensates. Self-fertile, though cross-pollination with another cultivar may boost production. Stunning purple and white fragrant flowers attract butterflies and serve as a larval host plant. The vine grows vigorously, quickly outpacing butterfly damage. In coastal BC's protected microclimates—such as against a south-facing house wall with the stem planted six inches deeper—plants can survive to -4°C. For reliability, grow in containers and move indoors during winter, or cultivate as a houseplant in a bright sun room.
