Pacific Willow is a tall, slender shrub or small tree with multiple stems and gray-brown bark that becomes deeply furrowed as it matures. Its leaves are glossy, narrow, measuring 5-10 cm long, featuring finely serrated edges and a whitish, waxy underside. This species is dioecious, with male and female flowers appearing on separate plants as catkins. The fruit is a smooth capsule, and in autumn, the foliage turns a vibrant yellow.
