Ficus carica 'Black Mission' (Fig)

Black Mission Fig is known for its blackish-purple skin with a strawberry coloured centre. It has a wonderful flavor that is very distinct. Black Mission produces a heavy first crop (breba) in early summer and then its main crop in Fall. This fig is a very vigorous grower, but is not very cold hardy. It is best suited for areas with mild winters.
