Erica carnea 'Wintersonne'

Erica carnea 'Wintersonne' features lilac-pink blossoms that deepen to magenta, complemented by distinctive red-brown foliage. It reaches 10–15 cm in height with a spread of 31–45 cm. Developed by Kurt Kramer in Edewecht, Germany, from ‘Myretoun Ruby‘ seedlings, this variety is notable for its unique foliage color. Its name highlights the striking contrast of buds illuminated by the winter sun.
